In a market saturated with minimalist black plastic, standing out is a challenge few peripherals truly meet. The Gravastar Mercury V75 Pro doesn’t just enter the conversation; it crash-lands like a battle mech from a distant galaxy, blending extreme sci-fi aesthetics with a spec sheet aimed squarely at the competitive elite. This isn’t just another keyboard; it’s a bold centerpiece that dares to prioritize radical design without sacrificing an ounce of performance.

A Design That Demands Attention

From the moment you unbox it, the Mercury V75 Pro makes its intentions clear. Crafted with a CNC-machined aluminum alloy frame, it feels less like a desktop accessory and more like a prop from a high-budget sci-fi film. The weight is substantial, planting it firmly on your desk with zero flex or creak. Gravastar’s signature mecha-inspired detailing is everywhere, from the angular bezels to the custom keycap font. It’s an aggressive, industrial look that will either be the perfect final piece for your themed setup or a complete aesthetic mismatch. There is no middle ground here, and that confidence is part of its appeal. The 75% layout is a smart compromise, retaining the crucial function row while freeing up significant desk space for sweeping mouse movements.

Performance Under the Hood

Aesthetics are meaningless without performance to match, and this is where the V75 Pro proves it’s more than just a pretty face. Our model came equipped with Kailh Box V2 linear switches, which provided a smooth, satisfying, and consistent keystroke perfect for both rapid-fire gaming inputs and extended typing sessions. The keyboard is hot-swappable, a critical feature for enthusiasts who want to dial in their perfect feel with custom switches. The internals are just as impressive, featuring a gasket-mounted design and multiple layers of sound-dampening foam. This combination creates a deep, “thocky” sound signature that eliminates the hollow pinging found in lesser keyboards, making every keystroke feel premium and deliberate.

Features and Connectivity

The V75 Pro is as versatile as it is striking. It supports tri-mode connectivity, allowing seamless switching between a low-latency 2.4GHz wireless connection for gaming, Bluetooth 5.1 for multi-device pairing, and a detachable USB-C cable for a wired connection and charging. In our testing, the 2.4GHz connection was flawless, delivering performance indistinguishable from its wired counterpart. The per-key RGB lighting is vibrant and highly customizable through Gravastar’s software, though the software itself feels a step behind the more mature ecosystems of brands like Corsair or Razer. It’s functional for setting up lighting profiles and macros but lacks the polish and deep integration of its mainstream rivals.

The Verdict: For the Bold

The Gravastar Mercury V75 Pro is not a keyboard for everyone, and that is its greatest strength. It’s a premium, high-performance mechanical keyboard built for users who are curating a specific aesthetic and refuse to compromise on build quality or typing feel. If you’re building a setup that shuns minimalist conformity and embraces a bold, futuristic style, the V75 Pro is one of the most compelling options available. While the price is firmly in the enthusiast category, the unique design, robust construction, and excellent out-of-the-box typing experience justify the investment for the right user.
